About Petals
Petals Pediatric Therapy was founded in 2026 by Jeffery and Ayanna Baskin, with a simple goal: to make high-quality pediatric occupational therapy more accessible to children and families right here in our community.
Petals was created after recognizing a growing need for accessible pediatric occupational therapy services within the local community. Families should not have to travel outside of Dayton or face extended wait times to find the specialized support their children need. While resources are available throughout the Miami Valley, Petals was created to provide families in our community with a local option where children can receive individualized, compassionate, and play-based occupational therapy in a welcoming environment.
About Ayanna
Ayanna Baskin, OTR/L co-founded Petals Pediatric Therapy with her husband, Jeff in 2026 to serve children in the community through occupational therapy. Ayanna received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of the Cumberlands. She then moved to Miami Shores, Florida to receive her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Barry University. She has experience working with children in the home, school, and outpatient setting. She enjoys building children’s confidence and promoting independence in everyday activities.
About Jeff
Jeffery (Jeff) Baskin, co-founded Petals Pediatric Therapy with his wife, Ayanna, in 2026 to serve children and families throughout the community. Jeff received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. At Petals, Jeff oversees the day-to-day operations of the practice while building relationships with physicians, schools, early intervention programs, and community organizations. He is passionate about expanding access to pediatric therapy services and creating meaningful partnerships that help children receive the support they need to thrive.
